Hello, everyone! My name is Shola Omotoso, and I am the proud CEO of the Sir Oluremi Festus Omotoso Foundation (SOF). Alongside our incredible board of trustees and directors, it’s a true honor to lead this foundation.
Today, we are hosting our annual SOF Medical Outreach in partnership with Viewpoint Medical Eye Care Center. This event takes place at the Wesley Church Aaroni, a place that holds deep meaning for our family. My father, Sir Oluremi Festus Omotoso, had the privilege of not only planting this church but also attending it for much of his life. From here, he became a part of the larger Medist family, and this is a legacy that we continue to honor today.
The medical outreach is a special occasion that we hold around the time of my father’s birthday, which falls on the 28th of August. This event provides us with an opportunity to share the love of Christ by offering essential medical services to those in need, particularly in the area of eye care. Alongside eye screenings and check-ups, we also conduct blood pressure checks and general wellness assessments.
Thanks to the generous support of our partners, we are able to provide free eye glasses and even perform surgeries for individuals who need them. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate enough to sponsor surgeries for many, and this year has been no different. We’ve already provided numerous surgeries and interventions to those who require them.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our partners—those who have dedicated their time, energy, and financial resources to make this event possible. We are deeply grateful for your unwavering support. It is through your generosity that we can continue this important work and make a difference in the lives of so many.
