Greetings, everyone!
I am Pastor Mrs. Ebunoluwa Omotoso, the Chairperson of the Sir Oluremi Omotoso Foundation, and I’m delighted to be part of this meaningful initiative today. We are hosting a free medical eye screening in partnership with Viewpoint Medical, a respected eye specialist clinic, and we are truly grateful for God’s grace in making this possible.
This is the third edition of this event, a special program we’ve been running in honor of my late husband. He was the chairman of Viewpoint’s board of directors for many years, and through their generous support, we’ve been able to carry out this program in his memory, timed to coincide with his birthday. The first two editions were held at Memorial, and with each year, the outreach has grown—becoming bigger and more impactful.
This year, however, we felt a deep desire to bring the outreach to a place that was very special to my husband: his church. The Wesley Church Aaroni was where he worshipped for many years, and we wanted to reach out to the community here, offering support and care just as he always did. So, we spoke with the church leadership and were blessed to be able to bring this program here today.
We are so grateful to see nearly a hundred people already benefiting from the screenings, free eyeglasses, medications, and even some surgical procedures. My husband had a passion for helping others, especially those in need, and this program was designed to continue that good work. It’s our hope that this initiative will grow and reach even more people in the future, touching lives and providing essential care for many.
As we look ahead, we pray that this outreach will continue to rise to greater heights, positively impacting even more individuals and blessing many more lives. Thank you all for being part of this journey and for helping us keep my husband’s legacy of giving alive.
