My name is Fai Omambi, and I’m the proud daughter of Sir Oluremi Festus Omotoso. Today, our family is honored to be here in the beautiful Aaroni area of Lagos State, at the Wesley Church Army, where our father worshipped for more than 40 years until his passing. This church was more than just a place of worship for him—it was home. While he could have chosen any church in Lagos, or even across Nigeria, to call his own, it pleased him to worship here and build lasting relationships with the people of this community.
We are deeply proud of my father’s legacy. Throughout his life, he supported various communities with love and generosity. One of the most notable ways he gave back was through free eye clinics, a cause close to his heart. Even after his passing, we are grateful to God that we’ve been able to carry on many of his initiatives. While we may not be able to continue them to the same extent, by God’s grace, we have been able to keep his spirit alive through these activities.
Today marks the first edition of this event here at Aarami, and we’ve been overwhelmed by the amazing response from the community. Initially, we thought the space constraints might be a challenge, but so far, so good! More than 80 people have already attended, and we’re expecting even more throughout the day. The weather is perfect, and the people are wonderful. The Viewpoint team is here, as always, doing incredible work, and we are confident that today will be filled with powerful testimonies.
We are excited to continue this journey and look forward to hosting many more events like this in the future. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, and we pray that today’s activities bring blessings and positive changes to the lives of all who attend.
