SOFOM Foundation’s Annual Medical Outreach

The Sir Oluremi Festus Omotoso Foundation's Annual Medical Outreach was held on the 27th of August, 2022, at the Hoare's Memorial Methodist Cathedral.

We had 401 participants from 32 dioceses of the Methodist Church spread across the South Western part of Nigeria, due to the Church's Women's Regional Conference which was held at the venue on the same day as the Medical Outreach.

After a brief Sermon rendered by Pastor (Mrs.) Ebunoluwa Omotoso, eye tests were conducted by medical professionals from Viewpoint Specialist Eye Centre on all the participants, with 265 eyeglasses being given for free.

In addition, all the participants received free medication as required, such as Ocular lubricants, anti-allergy drugs, ointments, anti-glaucoma medication, anti-bacterial drugs and more.

Wellness checks were also conducted on participants: 43% of those who had blood pressure tests conducted were found to be hypertensive and were counselled accordingly. For those who received Body-Mass Index tests, 57% were found to be obese, overweight or underweight and were counselled accordingly.

11% of those who received random Blood Sugar tests were found to have either high or low blood sugar levels. They too were counselled accordingly.

15 participants were selected to receive free eye Surgeries. They are currently going through the pre-Surgery readiness process and their free eye surgeries will be performed in the month of September 2022.

It goes without saying that none of these would have been possible without God and without the amazing support that our esteemed Partners have provided to the Sir Oluremi Festus Omotoso Foundation.

We are indeed truly grateful.

Please find above a brief video montage of the event.

Thank you and God bless you for your kind and abundant support.
